CORIANDER
Coriander
and turmeric prices fell by Rs 100 per quintal in the national
capital today in view of subdued demand from retailers and stockists
amid adequate stocks.
Coriander
and turmeric prices eased by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs
9,000-16,500 and Rs 6,400-11,000 per quintal, respectively.
Marketmen
said sluggish demand from retailers and stockists against sufficient
stocks pulled down coriander and turmeric prices.
CARDAMOM
Cardamom
prices rose 1.86 per cent to Rs 841 per kg in futures trade today as
speculators engaged in creating positions amid rising demand in the
spot market.
Further,
tight stocks position in the physical market following restricted
arrivals from producing belts also supported the uptrend.
At
the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for November contracts rose by
Rs 15.40, or 1.86 per cent, to Rs 841 per kg, with a trading volume
of 529 lots.
The
spice for delivery in October was up by Rs 8.90, or 1.08 per cent, to
Rs 829.40 per kg, with a business volume of 224 lots.
